Start a video or audio call in a direct message, a group or a channel. People join in the browser, and a guest only needs a link and a name.

What Mayfair Meetings does

Start from any chat
Choose video call or audio call from a direct message, a group chat or a channel. Everyone in that chat sees a card with a Join button.
Guests need no account
Copy an invite link from the call. A guest types a name, waits in a lobby, and the organiser lets them in.
Organiser controls
Make people wait before they join, let them in or turn them away, mute everyone, remove someone, or stop others sharing their screen.
Share your screen
Show a window or the whole screen from a laptop or desktop browser. Phones can join, watch and talk but not share a screen.
Notes, whiteboard and chat
Write shared meeting notes, draw on a shared whiteboard, and keep a chat open beside the call. The call chat stays with the group.
Hands, spotlight and captions
Raise a hand, pin one person to the big tile, and turn on live captions where your browser can turn speech into text.
Audio recording, in the open
Anyone signed in can record the call audio. Everyone sees a Recording banner, and the file is added to the call chat.
A meeting link instead
If you would rather use a Jitsi room, share a meeting link into the chat with one click.

Plain facts about the limits, so nothing comes as a surprise.

A call holds up to 6 people.
Guests cannot record, open meeting notes or add other guests.
Recording is audio only. There are no dial in phone numbers.
Calls need a secure (https) connection, and your browser asks before it uses the camera or microphone.

Do guests need a Mayfair account?

No. They open your invite link, enter a name and wait to be let in.

How many people can join?

Up to six people in one call.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Calls open in the phone browser. Screen sharing is only offered on laptops and desktops.

Can I record a call?

Yes, as audio only. Everyone in the call sees a banner while it records, and the recording is added to the call chat.
