What Mayfair ID does

  • Security checkup

    A score out of 100 and a plain list of what to fix: recovery email, second step, passkey, spare codes, old devices and connected apps, with a button for each fix.

  • Two step sign in

    Use any authenticator app, and keep backup codes for the day your phone is lost.

  • Passkeys

    Sign in with your fingerprint, face or screen lock instead of a password.

  • Where you are signed in

    See every browser and app signed in to your account and sign any of them out, or all the others at once.

  • Recent activity and alerts

    A log of sign ins, password changes and new devices. A new device, a password change or a changed recovery email also sends an alert to your recovery email.

  • Apps with access

    See which other apps can use your account, and take access away.

  • Your data, in your hands

    See what Mayfair holds as live counts, download a copy, or delete your account.

  • Up to five accounts on one device

    Switch between accounts without signing out.

  • Sign in for other Mayfair products

    Other Mayfair products sign you in through your Mayfair ID, the way Sign in with Google works, and see only what you allow.

  • Travel profile, only if you want one

    Keep optional details such as nationalities, passports and permits. Only the apps you allow can see them.

Good to know

Plain facts about the limits, so nothing comes as a surprise.

  • Mayfair does not hold your vault passphrase and cannot reset it.
  • Passwords need at least 8 characters, and very common passwords are refused.
  • Adding a recovery email is strongly recommended. It is how you get back in if you forget your password.

Is a Mayfair Mail address a Mayfair ID?

Yes. Your address and your Mayfair ID are the same account.

Where do I find my security checkup?

Open Mail, choose Settings, then Security checkup.

What if I lose my phone?

Use a backup code, or a passkey if you set one up, and then sign the lost device out from Settings.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, from Settings. You can prepare a download of your data first.
